How to be safe on the internet

How do you be safe on the internet?
Well its easy because all you have to do is not click on things that say click. NO there is way more than that you can do +K12  then it will come up with more safer and sensible sites that will be more appropriate
for you.  You will have a better chance of getting your answer another safe tool to use is advanced google search and queitube you just have to type it in when you click on the video you want

so that is how to be safe on the internet.

Habbit of mind

What is habit of mind?

Habit of mind is habits of your mind and we have been doing some work on habit of mind we have been doing maniging impulseivity. What does it mean?

It's like when I walk into a lollie store I won't be able to walk out with out some lollies... unless I don't have my money!!!!!!!

Hi this is about homework

Hi this is a peice of work that I'm not to sure if it's good so I need you to tell me.

Homework: what is the point of homework?. I think it is just what you have done at school and you're doing it at home is there really a point about it think about it just think about it, the only point is that your teachers are making you redo it and memorise it but don't stop your class from doing it!.  I find spelling words there the best because you get to practise them if you get it wrong. Sometimes I think about it as punishment because if you get one word wrong in your writing then you get it in your homework.

My Epal

Hi, me again, yes I'm Simone you should probably know that by now. This post is about my Epal. What are Epals they are like pen pals it's were you write to someone and ask questions and they should hopefuly answer them.  My Epal is Em here name is short Emily because she has too Emilys in here class.
She is a wonderful epal. She lives in Amiricia Wisconsin Suamico.

Market day

Yeah Market day is finaly coming and we get to run it.  Market is where you sell a whole heep of things to fundraise for camp. we have camp at Stewart Island.

how to make caramal popcorn

14 cups

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup popping corn

• Caramel

• 125g butter, chopped
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

Line a tray with baking paper. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 pieces of popping corn. If corn slowly turns around in a circle then oil is hot enough.

1. Add remaining popping corn. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. When corn starts popping, shake saucepan gently. Remove from heat when corn stops popping. Transfer to a large bowl, discarding any unpopped corn.
2. Make caramel: Combine butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes or until sugar has dissolved. Bring mixture to the boil. Boil, uncovered, without stirring, for 5 to 8 minutes or until light golden.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn and stir until popcorn is coated. Spread over prepared tray. Set aside to cool. Break into pieces. Serve.

my learning skills

Hi everyone this is about learning skills I know everyone has them but they are all different.  The learning skills that I'm learning about are tidy numbers there numbers that you round up numbers here is a sum that I will show 23 + 8 = 31 you can make this sum easier by rounding the number up to the nerest ten so you could make it 30 + 1 it would still have the same answer.


see it makes maths a bit easier.

paper pulp

Hi me agian do you know what I have been doing in my class room/school no you don't because I havn't told you yet. I have been doing paper pulp. you're are probably thinking what on earth is that. Well it is really paper machie. Paper machie is a French word for chewed up paper. It sounds gross in a way but it's not you should probably know what paper machie is if you don't. it's shredded up paper with glue stuff it's also easy to make but we made a different thing it is still paper machie but a different way of doing it, cause it turns out like clay. Then it's easyier to sculpt the facel stuff we made little kiwana people with it I'll put on some photos later

A Little bit about me, and why do I have this blog?

Yes you're probably thinking why should I know about her well I'm pretty interesting once you get to know me.  What do I want to be when I grow up if you could choose anything ? Hmm well I would want to be an actress or a author maybe a dancer but I'm not to sure I'm only young.  What country do I live in? I live in New Zealand.  What is my favourite animal ? This one is a tricky one cause I have lots of them, but I love monkeys, Giraffes, Panda Bears and Elephants I know I have alot of favourite animals but I love them. Ok now I will talk about why I have this blog. It's because what's the point of writing a story when no one else is going to see it apart from the Author, your teacher, and maybe your family if you've taken your books home. So that's why. Now everyone else might see my work.

MY TRIP TO CANDY LAND By Simone (me)

One day I was sitting on the couch watching tv, thinking “Do I need to be doing this?”  so I started to think no. First I started to think “Maybe I could build a tree hut” “Done that” hmm maybe I could go for a swim “no way” then I went to the back of my mind and Candy Land popped out of nowhere .

Yes, that’s what I want to do.  So I went and got a bag and packed  a drink bottle, some flowers, a bicycle, some food and my monkey and set off to start my journey. I walked through some long grass, clip, clap, clip, clap, clip, clap. I stomped through some mud, squish, squelch, squish, squelch, squish, squelch through some snow. Brrrr,  really cold. Maybe I should of packed some warmer clothes. Oh well, if I’m lucky I might be able to borrow some. They have got to have some warm clothes. 

Then at that moment I saw a sign that says ‘California’. I then saw a sign that says ‘Candyland’ with an arrow sticking out of it pointing down a path. It was so wiggly and it had walls of snow. It felt like it was -15 degrees (to me that is). About half an hour later I saw an end with a little round area, then out of the corner of my eye I saw a door. A tinniest tiniest door, it was so small. it was smaller than my hand . How am I ever going to get through there. Then I heard a little voice. It was the door talking. I’ve never heard a door talk before and then the weirdest thing happened, a table leaped from the snow wall and landed on its four legs and out came a bottle and a little sign that said ‘drink me’.  So I did and I was getting smaller or the room was getting bigger. I then saw a key. I  picked up the key and unlocked the door and stepped inside. It was the most beautiful place in the whole entire world. There were: ginger bread men, gummy bears, jelly mushrooms covered in coconut, yum! There was a lot more but I just can’t list them all.

I kept walking and wondered if everyone looked like ginger bread men and girls. I must be different and I looked at myself and saw a beautiful  ginger bread girl. This was awesome. It was like Narnia but better.

Suddenly I heard a big squawk, there was a big shadow that covered over us. It was a big hawks shadow, but this hawk was a real hawk not a pet, not a lolly hawk, an angry, hungry, huge hawk. It had a big huge body with a huge beak, huge claws and it looked hungry… really hungry. He was looking for some people to eat. It grabbed 5 in each claw and 2 in his mouth and I was one of them. His mouth was disgusting. It had all of this ooby gooby slim. I had a plan to get a away,  I’ll grab his gum and when he swallows I won’t go down  I don’t want to die I’m to young to die!!! He flew up so high I couldn’t see the village and I started to get a bit worried.  I then saw a nest on a cliff “phew, at least were safe” then he dropped us. We had a little walk around and all we  could see was blood & bones, rotten skin and people about to get killed. It wasn’t a pretty sight.

I looked down and saw fog and more fog. There is no way of getting down now. I had a brilliant plan “if we jump” I was telling everyone else but of course they didn’t be leave me “he will catch us if he really wants us” so I decided my plan was stupid. So I did it. I don’t know why? 3, 2, 1… aaaaaaahhhhhhhh I just jumped. Why did I do that? Somebody save me. It was kind of fun, and it kind of felt like I was flying. Wow this is amazing. Oh no, the fun came to an end.

 I can see a patch of mushrooms so, head down, thumbs in and head for the landing spot. Bump, boof, pow! I landed in the yummiest landing spot in the world. Hurray! I’m alive, now its time to explore the rest of the village. I went into a few shops and bought a few things then I went to a lolly shop. It was closed so I looked at the town clock. Oh no it’s time for me to leave.

I started to head back to the door and nearly left. Before I walked through the door I ran and took a big bite of a mushroom.  I went back to the table and I wondered how will I get back to normal size. I then saw a little box that said “eat me” so I ate it and I became normal size again.  I had to walk down the cold wiggly path back threw the snow… brrrrr. Cold and through the mud squish, squelch, squish, squelch through the long grass. Clip, clop, clip, clop and back home. I wonder what happened to the hawk’s food. Atleast I got away.

Well I’m home, everyone was having tea then mum started yelling ”Simone where have you been. We have been worried sick about you” she shouted. ”in Candyland” I said “nonsence” I knew this would of happened. Oh well asleast  I had fun!
